After an expectation-exceeding Southern Oilman's Poker Invitational (SOPI) 2019, and a break in 2020 due to the pandemic, SOPI is back for 2021 under the new name Oilfield Poker Invitational (OPI)! We are proud to announce that we have partnered with Social Octane events and marketing services to elevate this event to the next level making this one of the most exclusive premiere events of the year.

We are also excited to share we are partnering with the Acadiana Veteran Alliance to support the men and women who safeguard our freedoms at home and abroad.

8:00AM-9:00AM: Poker tournament registration at the poker room desk. ***Be sure to get your players card prior to registering. Players cards are required to play in the tournament. o Remember to bring $300 in cash to the poker desk to pay for your buy in.

The total cost of the event is $1,950.00/person. This cost is all-inclusive, and will cover the following:

- 2 nights stay at the Harrah’s Hotel and Casino
- All meals throughout the event
- All beverages included throughout the event
- Dinner at John Besh’s “The Steakhouse”
- $300 Poker tournament buy-in
- Entertainment: Event-exclusive private performance

Spouses are welcome to attend all non-poker events for an additional fee of $600.00.

Our number of guests is limited to the number of poker seats the casino will give us. Your seat will be held with your $1,650 credit card payment (additional 4% fee). The remaining $300 will be brought by each player in cash to enter into the Harrah's Casino tournament.

To unite veterans, veteran-owned businesses, and all companies for a common purpose; supporting veterans in job creation and work placement, assisting veterans in mental health solutions, creating a new, fully-developed support system for brothers-in-arms through financial/legal/housing assistance, and funding existing veteran-focused philanthropies through focused efforts.
Our goal with OPI tournament is give back a portion of the event proceeds to Acadiana Veteran Alliance to help support veterans with mental solutions.
